About Me — Online Orton-Gillingham Tutor & Structured Literacy Specialist

I’m the owner and educator behind Martens Literacy, an online Orton-Gillingham tutor who helps children become confident, capable readers through structured, multisensory instruction. After working as both a classroom teacher and home educator, my search to help my own child learn to read led me to the Orton-Gillingham structured literacy approach. What started as a personal journey became a passion and a calling.

With formal Orton-Gillingham training and years of tutoring experience, I help students build strong reading foundations—and help parents gain confidence in supporting their learners at home.
